The Magic Juju of Gemstones

Nicole's trendy and antiquity-inspired jewelry is created with semi-precious stones hand-picked for cut and clarity, regular and "mis-shapen" freshwater (Keshi) pearls and other organic beads (e.g. Paua sea shells ), sterling silver and 14/22K gold-filled and vermeil chains, beads and findings, which are meticulously crafted by hand and gift-packaged (upon request) with a "scroll" describing the significance of selected clasps and pendants, as well as the healing and protective properties of featured stones. "I believe people are drawn to the symbolism of clasps or pendants as well as the colors of certain gems, but deep inside, I think their subconscious guides them to the healing (and protective) properties of those stones that speak to them (at that moment) through their colors."

Nicole is also "under the influence" of nature, current events, museum visits, animal images , zodiac signs, symbols and relics of ancient epochs. Plus, she is fond of designing and spacing with numbers that are uneven or divisible by three. Her design colors reflect the blues of the ocean, the greens of the forests, and the yellows, oranges, reds, and purples of deserts and many sunsets she had the great fortune to witness near and far. Representative stones include turquoise, Peruvian opal, blue topaz, aquamarine, iolite, apatite, blue/pastel chalcedony, green amethysts and Vesuvianite garnets, peridot, multi-color tourmalines and sapphires, lemon topaz, smoky quartz, amber, ruby, garnet, carnelian, amethyst, onyx, hand-blown Venetian glass and those she is yet to discover. Below find an explanation of birth and zodiac stones as well as an abbreviated summary of stones that I use regularly and/or I'm keen on using in forthcoming designs.
